Hey there!
This page is a peek into some of the projects I've been working on (and some that are still in progress).
I'm really into how sound, feelings, and stories all blend together, and as I'm looking to study Popular Culture at Minerva, I'm especially curious about how creativity shapes the stories we tell.
With these projects, I want to showcase my passion for sound design, music making, and working with others. Each piece was a chance to explore different ideas and artistic visions, and hopefully, you'll see how I try to turn abstract concepts into immersive sound experiences.
Down below, you'll find a quick rundown on each project, covering my creative vibe, the gear I used, and the themes I dug into.
love&kisses, Arch(1)e
I composed the music for a Minerva student's graduation project, which will be exhibited at this year's Graduation Show in Niemeyer. All sounds, except for the footsteps, were recorded on digital synthesizers, guitar, and bass in Ableton Live 12.
I collaborated closely with the video's creator to realize her vision as accurately as possible, while also enriching the project with my skills and personal taste. The music incorporates sounds representing everyday items — like bikes, trains, and a heartbeat — that collectively form the rhythm of a person's life. The video is structured into several chapters, each evoking a distinct emotion.
The musical score evolves to reflect different emotional states and phases a person experiences:
Meaningless Repetitive Life
Stress-Fueled Day-to-Day Routine
Extreme Stress
Dissociation
Being Present at the Moment and Enjoying Oneself
This project features music I conceived and performed for a Minerva student's graduation piece, showcased at last year's Graduation Show.
The animation tells a powerful story of coming-of-age, the pursuit of dreams, and the journey of leaving home in search of a better place. It delves into themes of isolation, depression, and subtly touches upon mental illness. The artist's hand-drawn animation style was a key inspiration for the music.
To match this unique visual approach, I used electric guitar and digital synthesizers to create an immersive soundscape. My goal was to complement the visuals without distracting the viewer. The music was intentionally played without a metronome to align with the personal, organic feel of the hand-drawn animation.
250415 /inspired by daft punk/
In this song, I wanted to make something funky and wobbly at the same time. I used digital vocoder to create my vocals, as well as a couple of synths (and a lot of distortion) to fill the instrumental.
Lastly, a friend of mine started teaching me mixing techniques on this song (like using reverb for drums and compression where is needed).
Enjoy my creation!
funky Bass to the devil /wanna-be altin gun/
This is an instrumental piece from 2023, that I wrote after listening to the album ASK by Altin Gun for a month.
The song incorporates turkish-inspired elements, as well as "the devil scale" (i love flattening the Vth tone :))
Razkopki /stolen from nirvana and radiohead/
Here I "stole" from two of my all-time favorite bands: Nirvana and Radiohead. The song is definitely not finished but here i did 2 things I rarely do- sing and write lyrics in Bulgarian.
Keep in mind, this is just an early demo from 2023 but I promised many people that I will finish the song this summer (I will work with a producer so no way that i will procrastinate with it).
250503 /no idea bro/
I just found a synth i liked, recorded it and started warping the audio (slowing down, speeding up, pitching everywhere).
A friend of mine really liked the idea so I continued working on it for the night.
Please, enjoy!
And here are some other demos if you're curious :)
