The project has appeared in my Spotify "Wrapped-up" 4 years in a row as the most listened artist.
However, the music is not the only reason for that- Gorillaz consist of a main composer and an artist that makes all the visuals and concepts. This type of storytelling really engages the audience into the art, so that's why it is my top influence in anything that I am doing.
*This specific video includes a VR video which really makes for a different engagement experience.
The game includes amazing imagery, atmospheric music and sound design and incredible storytelling and gameplay that compliments it.
What fascinates me the most is the art style of the game, which consists of surprising combination of round forms and seamless animations and more rapid neon-styled 12-frames animations and comics.
What you firstly see in this 7+ rated cartoon is a very colourful and cheerful characters with funny lines and stories. However, what fascinates me the most is both the numerous amount of art and animation styles used for EVERY single character in the show, and the humorous political commentary that can be seen occasionally on different episodes.
This specific episode is one of my favourite when it comes to storytelling and I passionately recommend it to everybody.
